|Awaiting the technical completion of the definitive version of Disappearance with its fork lift truck visualisation apparatus, this pre-version of the work was shown in Bruxelles. Here the physical infrastructure of The Virtual Museum was adapted to show the virtual representation of Disappearance's revolving ballerina motif. Sitting on the chair on the Virtual Museum's circular platform, with its large video monitor, the viewer could cause it to turn it in either direction which resulted in a synchronous rotation of the figure of the ballerina on the screen.
